Gran Canaria is famous for its many bars, restaurants and discos. In the daytime they are cozy and quite with a relaxed atmosphere. You can always get a good meal and ennjoy the sun and beutifull beaches. At night the restaurants and especially the bars turn into crazy party scenes with extreme clubbing where the fun and music goes on all night. Especially the Scandinavians and Brits know how to “pub crawl” all night and still be seen on the beach the next morning. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it? That’s Gran Canaria for you!
The meals and food on Gran Canaria consist mainly of fish. Lot of fish. If you like fish done in a variety of ways, you should visit Arguineguin, a small true Gran Canarian fishing village. Try out puntitos de calamar, chernaor, cipirones or corvina.
